NY Organist

Alessandro Pittorino has been playing the church organ for years.

By the age of nine he was being paid to perform, despite never having had a lesson.

Now the Perth musician is about to hit the big time, taking on the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York.

He is the first Australian organist to ever be accepted into the school and will train under the guidance of Grammy Award winning organist, Paul Jacobs.

Alessandro will be performing a solo show on Saturday August 15, at the Perth Concert Hall.

The performance will help raise money to aid his studies at Juilliard.
