Circus WA

It's the WA institution dedicated to 'clowning around'...

Thousands of aspiring young performers have burst through Circus WA's doors, and now after twenty three years they're facing curtain call.

Circus WA's David Darcy Burke says, like many self sufficient art schools, it's a juggling act to keep a constant flow of students and money to train them.

This year, times are tougher than ever. Thirty thousand dollars is needed to keep WA's only full time circus school alive.

The circus has just weeks to come up with the money and staff and students are doing all they can to stay afloat.

David has launched a crowd funding campaign and says people can also help by signing up to their holiday workshops.
