Share the dreams, frustrations and tears of three courageous heart patients and the medical and nursing team keeping them alive as they trek the backbreaking Kokoda Track in the premiere Australian documentary, KOKODA WITH HEART, screening Saturday February 3 at 6.30pm on Channel Seven.

KOKODA WITH HEART follows three multiple cardiac bypass patients, including a former CEO of the Australian Rugby Union, as they attempt the "medically impossible" and cross the Kokoda Track.

With an average age of 61, Jenny Dexter, Bruce Hayman and J ohn Edwards, are supported on their trek by a team of eight medics - and with good reason: the recommended rehabilitation for bypass patients is moderate exercise three times a week, with extreme exertion forbidden.

So why do these ordinary Australians who've been given their second chance at life want to put themselves at risk of disability or death?

Along with some of the most moving and spectacular footage ever shot on the track, KOKODA WITH HEART offers some surprising answers and sends a powerful message to heart patients that with a sensible rehabilitation program and the right attitude, there is life after a heart attack.

KOKODA WITH HEART features an introduction by General Peter Cosgrove.

The special was directed by Scott Higgins and Executive Produced by Bruce Hayman in association with MBF, Diabetes Australia (NSW) and Black Wolf.
