The Spring Racing action heads to Flemington on Saturday November 4 for the four-day MELBOURNE CUP CARNIVAL beginning with AAMI Victoria Derby Day.

Seven's coverage starts at 8:00am on Saturday and will feature all nine races at Flemington including the AAMI VICTORIA DERBY at 12noon.

The Derby (2500 metres) is Victorian racing's premier three-year-old classic with a history that dates back to 1855.

The roll call of winners includes many of the sport's greatest names, including Mahogany, Red Anchor, Dulcify, Taj Rossi, Tobin Bronze, Tulloch, Phar Lap, Manfred, Poseidon, Newhaven and Grand Flaneur

On Tuesday November 7 , Seven starts its coverage of EMIRATES MELBOURNE CUP DAY at 7:00am .

The last two days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival are CROWN OAKS DAY on Thursday November 9 and EMIRATES STAKES DAY on Saturday November 11 .

Seven's coverage of the Melbourne Cup Carnival will be hosted by Bruce McAvaney, Richard Freedman and former champion jockey Simon Marshall. Peter Donegan will have the latest from the mounting yard and Pat Welsh will be in the betting ring.

Melbourne Cup-winning jockey John Letts will be in the saddle to interview the winning jockeys immediately after each race and Greg Miles is the race caller.
