With four perfect 10s from the judges for an inspired Paso, Seven Sunrise presenter GRANT DENYER and professional dance partner AMANDA GARNER have taken out Seven's Logie Award winning DANCING WITH THE STARS series four.

Out-stepping fellow Grand Finalists KOSTYA TSZYU and LUDA KROITOR , GRANT and AMANDA entertained the audience with the foxtrot, paso doble and a freestyle combination. Out of a possible 40 points the pair scored 36 for the foxtrot, 40 out of 40 for the paso and 33 for the freestyle event placing them number one overall for the night. KOSTYA and LUDA scored 33 out of 40 for their quickstep, 34 for both their samba and freestyle giving them a total of 101 out of 120. A greater percentage of the public vote ensured GRANT and AMANDA took out the championship and shelved the trophy.

GRANT was the only celebrity dancer to score a perfect 40 out of 40 during the series and credits his dance instructor AMANDA with his success "I wouldn't be here without Amanda. I'm a mug racing car driver and to be able to quickstep, foxtrot and rumba after just five months of training is a credit to her natural talent."

AMANDA says although GRANT 's hectic work schedule interrupted many of their training, teaching him to dance was easy. "Grant ' s extremely dedicated. He doesn ' t just want to know about the dance steps he also wants to know about the dance so he can get the mood and personality of the dance right. That ' s a dream come true for me."

During their 10 week appearance on DANCING WITH THE STARS , GRANT and AMANDA travelled to Queensland and Western Australia to cover cyclone activity for Sunrise , South Australia and Tasmania so GRANT could compete in his V8 Supercar, and various areas of regional Victoria and New South Wales .

Cheering on GRANT and AMANDA from the audience was Grant's long-term girlfriend BELINDA MORTERS , "I'm so proud of him. He's put in so much work and to get this far is wonderful."

The Australian Cancer Council will benefit from GRANT 's time on the show receiving part proceeds from all phone and SMS votes polled for him. The Smith Family Charity will also reap the rewards of KOSTYA 's involvement.

Although disappointed with a not winning the national title KOYSTA TSZYU doesn't rule out a return to the spotlight. The Unified World Boxing Champ, who last wore the gloves professionally in June last year, says he'll have a few months off before deciding whether to retire permanently or return to the ring.

DANCING WITH THE STARS(series four), hosted by DARYL SOMERS and SONIA KRUGER , has been the most successful television series in 2006. Averaging over 2 million people every week the program is up on every previous series.

Previous winners include BEC CARTWRIGHT (series one), TOM WILLIAMS (series two) and ADA NICODEMOU (series three).
