DANCING WITH THE STARS - 7.30pm Tuesdays on Seven

Unified World Boxing Champion KOSTYA TSZYU and Seven Sunrise weather presenter GRANT DENYER are through to the Grand Final of Seven's hit series DANCING WITH THE STARS after Human Nature front man TOBY ALLEN was eliminated from last night's competition.

In his final dance performance, TOBY and his professional dance partner LEEANNE BAMPTON , entertained the audience with the quickstep and new dance American Smooth. The pair scored 35 out of a possible 40 points for American Smooth, and 28 out of 40 for the quickstep, placing them second overall for the evening. GRANT DENYER and dance partner AMANDA GARNER top scored with total 65 out of 80, while KOSTYA TSZYU and LUDA KROITOR came in 3 rd place with 52 out of 80.

Despite the fact they were applauded by the judges throughout the series as two of the most polished dancers to ever grace the DANCING WITH THE STARS dance floor, TOBY and LEEANNE polled the lowest of a combined judges and public voting system which resulted in their elimination.

TOBY says the competition was one of the most competitive he's ever been in, but the experience was worthwhile. "I've learned things I never thought I would. I couldn't waltz or quick step before - it just wasn't what I did. At the moment I'm disappointed, but I think relief might set in once I get back to Sydney . It's frustrating putting so much time into something and not getting through to the last step."

TOBY and LEEANNE spent between 35 and 40 hours per week training for show. He now heads off on the road with HUMAN NATURE for their national tour of "The Motown Show". Performances start in Melbourne at Her Majesty's Theatre on May 19 and 20, before heading to Geelong , Adelaide , Perth , Brisbane , Gold Coast, Wollongong , Newcastle , Canberra , Sydney and more venues to be released.

Despite not needing his vocal talent on DANCING WITH THE STARS , LEEANNE says TOBY 's singing ability was a bonus. "The highlight was him singing to me during rehearsals! I ' m the envy of every woman I know. Depending on what we were practising he'd sing different speeds, songs, everything. All day, every day. "

TOBY supports numerous charities, but LIFELINE will be the beneficiary of his time on DANCING WITH THE STARS receiving part proceeds from phone votes cast for him. His mother, DEIDRE ALLEN , was a phone counsellor with the service and received recognition for the work she did with the charity. She died 18-months ago and TOBY dedicated his time to DANCING WITH THE STARS in her honour.

Next Tuesday night, May 9, at 7.30pm on Channel Seven, DARYL SOMERS and SONIA KRUGER host the series four Grand Final of DANCING WITH THE STARS.
