An Amazing night for Seven as it cleaned up with a 36% share of the prime time audience, a figure almost double Channel Nine's 18.5% and a clear 10% above Channel Ten's 23.9%. MY RESTAURANT RULES, LOST and THE AMAZING RACE each won their timeslot.

Last night's premiere episode of LOST had a sensational debut easily winning its 8.30pm timeslot right across Australia. Just over 2.3 million people tuned in over the hour with the audience peaking at 2.4 million viewers in five capital cities.

In Perth LOST had a massive 44.9% share of audience. Across the hour an average of 291,500 people tuned in (Nine's ER 128,500 viewers and Ten's Law and Order SVU 141,800 and at its peak, 306,000 people were watching.

In addition MY RESTAURANT RULES performed well for its first episode with an average of 142,900 catching our Perth couple Andre and Sandy in action for the first time. The audience peaked at 190,000 viewers, 78,000 viewers above the peak audience seen when the series debuted in 2004.

Not to be outdone THE AMAZING RACE episode three continued the night strongly for Seven with an average of 174,200 viewers and peaking at 186,000 viewers to cap off the night.

Seven will screen an encore of episode one of LOST at 11.30pm tonight and again at 8.40pm tomorrow night. Saturday night's screening of LOST will be followed by an encore screening of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES at 9.40pm.
