It's the ultimate taste test which could literally make or break a restaurant. This Thursday March 3 the five restaurants in Channel Seven's MY RESTAURANT RULES will open their doors to paying guests.

Restaurants will operate for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday (inclusive), and close on Mondays.

Last year, people travelled hundreds of kilometres and came by the bus-load to dine at restaurants in series one of MY RESTAURANT RULES. This year seats will again be among the hottest in town, and patrons won't be able to make a booking by phone.

To open the experience of the reality restaurants to as many people as possible only those who venture to the location will be able to dine there. Reservations will be on a first come/first served basis, or by walking into the restaurant and reserving a future seat.

Seven's cameras will capture events as they happen to staff and diners, and diners will have the opportunity to share their thoughts about the restaurant by recording a video review on site which may air nationally on MY RESTAURANT RULES - 7.30pm Thursdays and Sundays on Channel Seven.

The restaurants are run by five teams in competition with each other. In less than a month the elimination process will begin and the last restaurant open will win a 12-month lease on their site and $100,000 thanks to ANZ. The rest will have to shut up shop over the course of the next few months as the viewers take control and decide who wins the right to keep their restaurant.
